100 Square Inches of Art 6th Annual Exhibition

100 Square Inches of Art 24 is back and pushes the creative powers of local and national artists to express their artistic vision inside of 100 square inches or less... no more. Art can be made into any form or shape as long as the total square inches used is equal to or less than 100 square inches (3D Artists get an extra 10 inches of depth for a total of 1000 cubic inches!). See color, see shape, see forms or figures, portraits or abstracts. All in a small form factor that is perfect for a holiday gift or a special addition to your personal art collection.

Thinking small encourages creative thinking and a sense of detail. How can working on a small scale help bring out your vision? How can a small art piece take on a large presence? How much art can an artist pack into a small space? Will the piece be 1” wide and 100” long, 10” x 10” or something else?

Submission Instructions

1) Select the number of images you would like to submit

2) Press the “Submit Entry Fee” button and you will see a form to enter your contact information and pay the entry fee.

3) AFTER completing payment for the entry fee, you will need to EMAIL your images with information to submissions@3squareart.com. Please note the following formats:

✅ Please include Artwork Information for each image including:

  • Title

  • Medium (For example: Oil, Aclylic, Watercolor, Graphite, Charcoal, Mixed Media, Fiber Art, Digital Art, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography, and etc.)

  • Dimensions (include BOTH artwork size AND framed size for framed artwork)

  • Year Created

✅ Image File Naming: Name your image files in this format => FirstLast_Title.jpg. Please do not include any other information in the file name.

✅ Image Size: Images should be less than 5MB each with the longest edge ideally 1800 pixels or more and not less than 1600 pixels

✅ File Format: Save your images in .jpg format

Eligibility

100 Square Inches of Art 3rd Annual Exhibition is open to artists who are at least 18 years old (by the time of entry) submitting original works of art created within the past 3 years.

  • All works must be 100 square inches or less and can be in any form factor (i.e. 5” x 20”, 10” x 10” etc) INCLUDING ANY FRAMING IF USED. 3D Artists can use a maximum of 1000 Cubic Inches (i.e. 10” x 10”x 10”etc) .

  • Each artist may enter up to 5 artworks.

  • The competition welcomes ALL media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, textiles, and digital art.

  • Artworks must be have been created in the past 3 years; any artworks completed before September 2, 2021 will be disqualified. The Entry Fee is non-refundable.

  • The enclosed entry/entries must be original work, independently created, composed and executed.

  • No copies from other artists' works or paintings/drawings from other artists' photographs or from published material will be allowed. Source material must be original.

  • Artwork that previously exhibited at 3 Square Art Gallery are NOT eligible to submit.

  • All entries must be submitted electronically here

  • All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE

  • Please review the SUBMISSION AGREEMENT before submitting.

3 Honorable Mentions: Certification

Selected artists for the exhibition receive the following benefits:

  • One of top galleries in Northern Colorado (great addition to resume)

  • Accepted artists will be listed on the 3SA website with their work and link to their website
