The class explores contour drawing, positive and negative shapes, and shading techniques. These lessons help develop a toolset for drawing and visually communicating with line and shape.

Painting I is a foundational art course that teaches the foundations of art with essential painting skills and techniques. Learn the basics of painting and “how to control” the medium of oil paint with structured classes with targeted painting lessons. The class explores oil painting tools and mediums, monochromatic shading, use of analogous and complementary colors, basic abstraction, composition and final critiques. These lessons help develop a toolset for visually communicating through painting.
Open Life Drawing with Nude Model
This figurative life drawing open session features a live, nude model posing for quick gestural and long-term poses and is open to the public (nude model session participants must be 18 years or older). The Figure Drawing Open Session is an excellent class to practice and hone your figurative drawing and painting skills.
This self-instructed portrait drawing/painting group session (no instructor) is excellent for those looking to brush up on their portrait and figurative drawing skills and to meet up with other artists in Fort Collins, Colorado. Artists of all skill levels and media are welcome to join our self-instructed group sessions! Walk-in’s are welcome but we recommend buying a full course, a pack of tickets, or a drop-in ticket to reserve your spot since space is limited.
