Artist Statement
My name is Mary Harnett. I am a woman, a painter.
Created over a lifetime, my body of work includes small to large scale drawings and paintings in various mediums, with subject matter varying from classic representation, social commentary, contemporary abstractions and deconstructed realism.
Over time I’ve learned what an extraordinary gift, what a privilege it is is to be an artist
The search for beauty and meaning, purpose and truth, challenging my intellect, and the physical joy in the act of painting define my life.
Paint On!
